Committed to providing outstanding high-quality
A dedicated professional management team runs Mottingham Hall and all carers have individual training plans, which are continually assessed and appraised annually. Our team of Educators are highly qualified and trained with nationally recognised qualifications. Our policy is for every Educator to have First Aid and Child Protection Training.
The training and development of our team is an ongoing process and we adhere to the statutory requirements and ethos of EYFS curriculum, which is delivered, suitably to our young children. Each Educator has their own Continuous Performance Development plan which is closely monitored and training opportunities on and off site are consistently promoted.

Linda’s vision for Mottingham Hall is well underway and she has been influential in the positive changes made since she become director. She project manages all existing and future developments and supervises administration. Linda previously owned Springfield Lodge Day Nurseries, Dartford & Swanscombe – both large nurseries recognised as outstanding by Ofsted.
Melanie is the manager of our staff team and instigator of our team practices, procedures and routines. Melanie has worked with children for 24 years and has a strong committed and enthusiastic approach to every aspect of running the nursery.
Mottingham Hall for Children came into the ownership of the present Directors in February 2014. Linda and Melanie have many years’ of combined experience owning and managing two of the largest and outstanding nurseries in Kent. This knowledge and their shared vision brings innovative ideas to enhance children’s learning and development and insightful qualities in child-caring practices.
Since 2014, considerable changes have been made to the internal layout of the building, daily operations and quality of provision. A fingerprint system of entry has been introduced to ensure the safety and security of our children at all times. Internal works have included new windows and doors to give the children more daylight and access to our garden. External works have included the creation of our own forest school, new play spaces for the children including separate facilities for Under 2’s, and extending our car parking space. We have added new outdoor Children's Rooms, bathrooms, reception and a parent area. Future plans include the addition of a children’s farm and various outdoor designated spaces to promote different learning opportunities.
Our nursery is unique in many ways and our passion to embrace positive change is evident in all that we do. Melanie and Linda have worked together since 2007 and their shared vision promises to make Mottingham Hall the best and most unique nursery in the area.
