Please note:

Government funding is intended to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the costs of meals, other consumables, additional hours and services. Parents are not required to contribute towards the minimum entitlement session, but fees will apply for any services or childcare that is additional to the free hours. (At Mottingham Hall for children a consumable cost applies. Please contact us for our funding offer details- funding@mottinghamhallforchildren.co.uk.

Invoice:

Your free entitlement hours will not be shown as a cost on your invoice, it will show that you have been charged £0.00 for your free hours. However, for additional and consumables there will be a monthly charge. The code of practice states that parents can access as little or as much of the minimum entitlement at more than one provider, but at a maximum of two providers. If you do not want to pay for food, consumables or additional services please email funding@mottinghamhallforchildren.co.uk for further information on how this will be offered.

Our stretched offer

A setting will have their yearly opening weeks i.e., the number of weeks in the year that a setting is open for business. Our setting is open for 51 weeks of the year.

For some settings e.g., a term time nursery their funded weeks may be the same as their opening weeks e.g., 38 weeks of opening and 38 weeks of funding. This option may suit some families better.

However, a day nursery like ours opens for 51 weeks which means for our parents to get funding every month of the year we ‘stretch’ the funding.
